Thermostats

When the solid fuel boiler comes up to temperature, the central heating pump must be switched on.  Obviously this is needed to circulate the heating water but it is also required to prevent the water in the heater from boiling and turning into steam. The controller takes a signal from the pipe stat, fitted on the boiler's return and switches the pump. This cannot be done by the pipe stat directly as this would also switch on the oil/gas boiler.

The controller also acts as a central wiring centre with each peripheral being wired directly to it's own terminal block. This cuts down installation time and greatly reduces wiring mistakes.
